Lyrics

1. Come, see a child of low estate,
in manger bed reclining;
Yet on His humble dwelling place
bright stars in heav’n are shiny.

2. This little babe is Christ the Lord,
whom saints have long expected,
for man He comes to live and die,
despised, betrayed, rejected.

For man He comes to rend the veil
which hides death’s gloomy portal,
and make a home where where man with Him
in peace may dwell, immortal.

For you who fear my name,
the Sun of Righteousness
will rise with healing in His wings;
And we will feel no shame,
for our unrighteousness
will find a holy covering.

3. He comes to triumph o’er the grave,
and rise on Easter morning,
and reign in heav’n at God’s right hand,
until the last Day’s dawning

So may we all His grace partake:
His living and His dying.
For He has come, our debt to take,
with Righteousness supplying

For you who fear my name,
the Sun of Righteousness
will rise with healing in His wings;
And we will feel no shame,
for our unrighteousness
will find a holy covering.

Though all our sin be known,
O all His grace is shown,
for all His saving work is done;
His name is “God with us,”
He is victorious,
Our Redeemer, Christ, has come!
